ABSTRACT

AIM:To investigate the effect of vision therapy system 4D combined with stereoscopic 3D technology training for the treatment of amblyopia.METHODS: Prospective study. A total of 102 children with amblyopia who attended the clinic from January 2018 to January 2022 were selected, and they were randomly assigned into two groups by computer, with 51 cases in each group. Control group received stereoscopic 3D technology training, while observation group participated in vision therapy system 4D on the basis of control group. Then the overall effective rate, binocular visual function, spherical equivalent(SE), axial length(AL), mean corneal curvature(Km), best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and visual evoked potential were compared between two groups.RESULTS: The overall efficacy rate was 94.1% in observation group, which was obviously higher than control group(74.5%; P<0.05). The improvement in binocular vision parameters simultaneous perception, total fusion, and stereoacuity were all more remarkable in observation group than in control group(P<0.05). The △SE, △AL and △Km yielded no statistical difference between two groups(P>0.05). The latency of two spatial frequencies(1°grid and 15'grid)showed a decline in both groups, and the decline was more notable in observation group than in control group(P<0.05). In both groups, BCVA improved, and the improvement was more significant in observation group compared with control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Application of vision therapy system 4D combined with stereoscopic 3D technology training for amblyopia can effectively ameliorate the visual acuity, promote the reconstruction of simultaneous perception, total fusion, and stereoacuity without additional risk of myopic shift, and improve visual pathway function in children.

ABSTRACT

@#AIM: To investigate the efficiency and safety of 3D visualization assisted phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens(IOL)implantation. METHODS: Prospective non-randomized controlled clinical study. A total of 100 patients(103 eyes)who underwent phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation were enrolled in the study. Among them, according to the way of surgery chosen by the participants, 24 cases(25 eyes)were enrolled from January to March 2020(3D-1 group), 24 cases(25 eyes)were enrolled from April to June 2020(3D-2 group), and 52 cases(53 eyes)were enrolled from January to June 2020(binocular microscope group)as the control group. Total operative time, capsulorhexis time, phacoemulsification operation time, cortical aspiration time, IOL implantation time, viscoelastic agent aspiration time, ultrasound time(UST), cumulative dissipated energy(CDE), fluid flow loss, intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded in the three groups. Uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA), best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), intraocular pressure(IOP)and corneal endothelial cell count(CECC)were recorded preoperatively and 1mo postoperatively. RESULTS: The total operative time, the time of capsulorhysis, the operation time of phacoemulsification, and the time of removing viscoelastic agent between 3D-1 group and control group were statistically significant(all <i>P</i><0.01). There were no significant differences in the total operation time and each operation step time between the 3D-2 group and the control group(all <i>P</i>>0.05). The differences of UST, liquid flow loss, and CDE between 3D-1 group and the control group were statistically significant(all <i>P</i><0.05). There were no significant differences between the 3D-2 group and the control group in intraoperative parameters(all <i>P</i>>0.05). There were no statistical significances in UCVA, BCVA, IOP, and CECC among the three groups 1mo after surgery(all <i>P</i>>0.05). CONCLUSION: Phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation using 3D visualization technology is safe and feasible. After a certain learning curve period, there is no significant difference in the surgical efficiency compared with traditional binocular surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of autogenous cartilage transplantation in the correction of nasal soft-tissue triangle deformities aided by 3D technology. Methods:From January 2016 to January 2018, 32 patients with nasal soft-tissue triangle deformities were collected, with 7 males and 25 females, aged from 18 to 32 years (mean 28.5±6.8 years). A part of the costal cartilage/nasal septum cartilage or auricular cartilage was cut as repair material, which was carved into strips, and used as nasal alar rim grafts to reconstruct the dome shape and correct the nasal soft triangle deformities. The costal cartilage or nasal septum cartilage was used to strengthen the support of the columella nasi and augmentation rhinoplasty was performed with prosthesis, and the fascia was placed on nose tip to relieve tension. The surgical results were evaluated by comparing the pre- and post-operative images; statistical analysis was conducted to compare the difference of alar cartilage angle along inside and outside implants before and after the fornix reconstruction, and the difference of maximum distance from the nostrils long shaft to the nose flange between pre- and post-operation, and so the effect of nasal soft triangular deformity correction was evaluated. Results:The alar cartilage angle of the 32 patients was (51.5±10.9)° before surgery, and decreased to (37.2±5.9)° after surgery; the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The maximum distance from the nostrils long shaft to the nose flange was (3.3±0.6) mm before surgery, and it reduced to (1.9±0.7) mm after surgery; the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The patients were followed up for 6 to 18 months, and the result showed that the curative effect was significant, with good appearance and natural feeling, and there were no serious complications, and the satisfactory rate was 87.5%. Conclusions:Autogenous cartilage is used to repair nasal soft-tissue triangle deformities aided by 3D technology; the nasal morphology is improved delicately, and the postoperative satisfaction of curative effect is high, which is an ideal surgical method.

ABSTRACT

From the point of view of medical device registration technical evaluation, production process of endoscope, three-dimensional imaging(3D), high resolution imaging are discussed. We focus on the process of design and development, especially verification and validation. The general principle is that all risks and unexpected impacts should be minimized and acceptable to ensure that benefits are greater than risks in normal use.

ABSTRACT

Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery technology is rapidly developing in the tumor treatment field. Due to the lack of space perception of the previous 2 D laparoscopic surgery, it has been unable to meet the current needs, and then 3 D laparoscopic technology emerged and got widely development. This paper summarizes the difference between the 3 D laparoscopic technique and traditional 2 D laparoscopic technology, and then analyzes the classification of 3 D signal display technology and common format. At the same time, this paper introduces the integration operating room structure with 3 d technology, signal format, and signal transmitting method. Finally, this paper prospected the application foreground for 3 D laparoscopic technology in the operating room.
